Wi-Fi internet access is provided to ensure your stay is comfortable and productive. We request that you use it responsibly so that the speed experience remains positive for all guests.

Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues

In the event of an internet service failure, and if the owners are not on site, please follow these simple steps for a quick resolution:

  1. Router Location:

    The router is situated halfway down the corridor of the Bambus House Blue apartment, on the ground floor.

  2. Equipment Restart:

    Please unplug the router from the electrical outlet, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. This procedure resolves most faults.

  3. Contact for Support:

    Should the problem persist after the restart, please contact us immediately for technical assistance.

       We are available to ensure your best digital experience.

Keys

Key and Access Management

The Bambus House keys are crucial for your security. Please take the utmost care of them.

  • Lost Keys:

    Should the keys be lost, please contact us immediately so that we can resolve the situation. Please note that the cost of their replacement will be charged.

  • Emergency Access (Forgotten Keys):

    If you need to enter and have forgotten your keys, please contact us. We can provide you with the emergency access code so you can enter quickly.

       We are always available to help ensure your safety and comfort.

Safety Procedures and Resources

  • First Aid Kit: You will find a first aid kit in the kitchen pantry (Blue) and in the hall (Green).
  • In Case of Fire:
    • The fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen.
    • The fire blanket is located next to the stove.
    • Leave the apartment as quickly as possible, ensuring that all guests leave safely.
    • After calling 112, please contact us immediately: (+351) 962 346 815

The apartments are equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

We are here for whatever you need, but we hope you never have to use this information! Have a peaceful stay.

Check In & Check Out

Check-in

  • Check-in time: Standard check-in time is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Late entry: possible by prior arrangement.

  • Documentation: When checking in, you must present a photo ID.

Deposit and damages

  • Accommodation, when booking a whole apartment, is subject to a deposit of €300, preferably reserved on a credit card.

  • If a reservation is made on the credit card, this deposit will automatically expire 30 daysafterits creation, provided that no damage has been caused to the accommodation.

  • If the deposit is paid in cash, it will be returned after checking that there is no damage to the accommodation.

  • In the event of damage to the property, furniture or equipment, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the deposit.

AIMA: Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum

As this is a Tourist Accommodation in Portugal (AL), we are legally obliged to report the stay of foreign citizens without permanent residence permits in the country to AIMA within a maximum of three working days after their arrival.

Municipal Tourist Tax

Guests aged 16 or over are subject to the Municipal Tourist Tax for a maximum of five consecutive nights. This tax is €1/night from 1 November to 31 March and €2 from 1 April to 31 October.

Check-out

Your cooperation is essential for the departure process to run smoothly.

Check-out time

  • The check-out time must be communicated to the owner in advance and must be completed by 11:00 a.m.
  • Late check-out may be an option, but only if it is agreed in advance and if the accommodation is available.

Check-out procedures

  • Plates: Plates must be washed and put away.
  • Beds: Do not worry about making the beds; the laundry service will take care of the bed linen.
  • Bed linen and towels: Bed linen should remain on the beds and towels in the bathrooms. Please do not wash them at the end of your stay. They go to the laundry.
  • Organisation: Leave household items, such as television and air conditioning remote controls and other pieces of furniture in their original places.

Luggage storage

  • If you need to store your luggage temporarily before check-in or after check-out, we can arrange this free of charge.

We are at your disposal to answer any additional questions and ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible.

🏡 Bambus House Rules

Our house is your home for the holidays in the Algarve.

To ensure you feel comfortable, relaxed, and enjoy a pleasant and comfortable stay, please respect the following rules, which are essential for good cohabitation and property maintenance.

🧍 1. Guests and Capacity

  1. Respecting Capacity: It is mandatory to respect the maximum number of people stated at the time of booking and agreed upon by us.

  2. Excess Guests and Visitors: Excess guests or overnight visitors are not permitted. In case of non-compliance, a penalty of €50 per person/per night will be charged.

  3. Additional Installations: The installation of travel cots, inflatable mattresses, or other types of beds not provided by the property is not allowed.

  4. Children Count: Children aged three years old or more are counted as adults for capacity purposes.

  5. Child Exceptions: Exceptionally, and depending on availability, we may accommodate one additional child up to 12 years old, beyond the maximum capacity of each apartment, in a cot or extra bed, for a supplementary cost of €25 per night.

  6. Free Cots: Children under three years old have a cot provided by us free of charge.

🌴 2. Property and Common Use

  1. Pets: Pets of any kind are not permitted on the property.

  2. Quiet Time: Quiet Time across the entire property is between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

  3. Security and Absence: The external gates of the villa must remain closed. Whenever guests leave the property, exterior doors and windows must be closed.

  4. Energy Saving: For safety reasons, please switch off the air conditioning, fans, lights, and TV before leaving the house.

  5. Smoking Prohibition: According to the law, smoking is not allowed inside the house *. Ashtrays are provided outside. We kindly ask you not to extinguish cigarettes outside the ashtrays.

  6. Pool Access: Access to the pool is exclusively for guests of Bambus House.

* Law 37/2007, of 14/08, amended by Laws No. 109/2015, of 26/08, 63/2017, of 03/08 and DL No. 9/2021, of 29/01. The ban includes new non-combustible tobacco products that produce aerosols, vapours, gases or inhalable particles, and electronic cigarettes containing nicotine – Violations are punishable by a fine of up to €500.

✨ 3. Cleaning and Waste

  1. Pool Use: Guests must help maintain the cleanliness of the pool area. Eating or drinking inside the pool is not permitted.

  2. Sanitary Use: Do not flush wet wipes, tampons, sanitary pads, or food scraps down the toilet to prevent blockages. Only toilet paper (in moderation) should be flushed.

  3. Waste Management: Guests must not leave household rubbish, bags, or any other objects on the street or in the common areas of the villa. Rubbish, properly secured in closed bags, can be deposited daily by guests in the containers located at the top and bottom of the street. Recycling bins are about 200m from the house.

  4. Change of clothes and towels – Full Apartment – Stays of 2 Weeks or more: A free change of bed linen and towels will be provided once a week.

    • Additional cleaning and linen changes can be requested, subject to a payment of €150 to be made at the time of service.

  5. Change of clothes and towels –Suite Rental – Stays of 4 Days or more: Towels will be provided every two days, and bed linen weekly.

🚗 4. Parking

  1. Location: Vehicle parking on the street is easy and free of charge, and is only permitted on the left side of the street (when driving up) or at the top of the street near the pine trees.

🎊 5. Parties and Events

  1. Prohibition: New Year’s Eve parties, stag/hen parties, and similar celebrations are not permitted without prior authorisation from the owners.

  2. Confetti: Confetti cannot be used under any circumstances.

Safety measures for the Summer

  • Do not leave children unattended near the pool.

  • The pool is saltwater and is 1.20 m (3ft 11 in) deep. Do not dive in headfirst.

  • Always use sunscreen, especially on children, with SPF 50.

  • Avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours – between 12:00 and 16:00.

  • On the beach, pay attention to the warning flags:

    • 🟥 Red: High Hazard, No Swimming
    • 🟨 Yellow: Medium Hazard, Moderate Surf and/or Currents, Exercise Caution
    • 🟩 Green: Low Hazard, Calm Conditions
    • 🟦 Blue: Pure water, clean coasts, safety and access for all
  • In case of a sting or accident, immediately go to the lifeguard on duty.

  • Do not dive near the rocks.

  • Drink at least 1.5L of water per day.

  • Protect yourselves from mosquito bites, use repellent.
